We are Jean and Shirley. 

We first met through our love of dancing and teaching and realised we had another thing in common - crafting.  With an interest in textures and colours this 'hobby' grew and became Caversham Crafts at the start of the pandemic.  Having expanded our range during lockdown we decided to change our name to Nimble Thimble because that's what we had both become - nimble with a thimble!

We soon realised there were limited outlets suitable for selling artwork and handmade items - particularly if they were lightweight or easily damaged by the weather.  We also realised there were a lot of very talented artists and makers living locally, and as we are passionate about supporting local business it seemed setting up a regular artists and makers fair was a logical 'next step' for us.
